All About Me
I am a fully qualified teacher with a B.Ed (Hons) degree and over 30 years of teaching experience. I have worked across both Primary and Secondary age groups, held leadership positions in mainstream and specialist education, and am also a qualified SENCO.
I believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to achieve their potential. My approach is personal, supportive and flexible, taking time to understand the individual and what they need to engage, build confidence and succeed.
Today, through The Tutors | Alternative Provision Co., I work alongside a team of experienced professionals to provide personalised academic, mentoring and pastoral support. Together, we support young people through 1:1 provision, small-group learning at The Foundry and a range of specialist services.
I live in Poole with my wife and two daughters. When I’m not working, I enjoy keeping fit by jogging, sea swimming and cycling.
Alternative Provision

As a BCP Council-approved Alternative Provision provider, we deliver flexible, personalised education and support across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, working closely with schools, parents and the local authority to create tailored packages of academic and pastoral support for young people.
Provision can take place at The Foundry Learning Hub, at home, in suitable community settings or online, with both 1:1 and small-group support available. Our focus is on providing the right combination of education, mentoring and specialist support to help every young person achieve their potential.

Online Tuition
Flexible 1:1 online tuition is available alongside our face-to-face provision.
1:1 Tuition & Mentoring
Individual support at home or in suitable community settings, including libraries, cafes and therapy rooms.
Transition Mentoring
Personalised mentoring packages focused on confidence, engagement and supporting a positive transition back into school.
GCSE & Functional Skills
GCSE Core and Foundation subject tuition, alongside Functional Skills Maths and English exams.
Home Education Support
Flexible academic and pastoral support for young people who are home educated.
